The heart of the detuning skirt is the 1/8 inch, 1 X 19 Stainless Steel Wire.
The Breaking Strength of the wire is approximately 1700 pounds. For this application, the wire is virtually industructable.
The weight of the wire is less than 5.0 pounds per 100 feet--making it very easy to install on the tower.
The wire is corrission resistant. It does not rust as does copper, copperweld and steel. Should never need replacing again.
The scrap value of stainless is very low, so it is unlikely to be stolen.
Because of its very small size, the wind load is very minimal
Becasue it's temperature coefficient is relatively stable, springs are not required to keep the wire tight.

Combined Turnbuckle / Insulator
The bottom of the detuning skirt must be insulated from the tower and therefore requires an insulator.
Normally this piece is separate and often has to have a spring, thus more work for the tower climbers to install.
This combined piece is galvanized and only requires two shackles to install--one on wires and one on bracket.
The turnbuckle is long enouch to give plenty of travel to easily tightened the wires coming down the tower.

Aluminum Brackets
A monopole tower will either have six or eight sides.
The bracket will have six.
The bracket hugs the tower and is connected with three 12” X ½” threaded rods.
The diameters I provide must hug the tower.
The top diameters are more critical than the bottom as the top diameters
is much smaller than the bottom.
There are four sets – the top and bottom brackets are made with 3” aluminum, and
the two middle brackets are made with 2” aluminum.
